I pray that the election will be fair. Even amid Gov. Cuomo's order in NY that anyone can vote in NYC without ID, which means anyone could go there and vote multiple times and no one would ever know. Even amid voting machines that change votes from Romney to Obama. Even with the other voting issues listed above. In places with a conservative presence, people seem to be overwhelmingly and enthusiastically voting for Romney with long lines yet respectful conversation while waiting. In more liberal places, thus far there are more problems reported and/or less turnout. Reports from many citizen journalists (voters) here.  Add your experience! Contact the Election Tip Line at

UPDATE: Another installment at Breitbart of voting reports. Continued enthusiam for the GOP and less turnout in Democratic areas.
ANOTHER UPDATE: Here is yet another installement at Breitbart of voting reports. There are others besides. I find them all inspirational.

  1. I hope for a fair election as well, but first, a fair blog post! ;)

"Even amid Gov. Cuomo's order in NY that anyone can vote in NYC without ID, which means anyone could go there and vote multiple times and no one would ever know."

New York doesn't have a voter ID requirement. What Gov. Cuomo actually did was issue an emergency order granting New Yorkers in disaster-affected counties the right to vote by affidavit at any polling place in the state. Voters who cast their ballots outside their state legislative districts will only be able to vote in the presidential and U.S. Senate races.

"Even amid voting machines that change votes from Romney to Obama."

Electronic voting machines are the worst and shouldn't be used, period. In previous elections, they were accused of changing votes to Mr. Bush. Hopefully, this will result in a nonpartisan call for voting technology standards.

If you must vote on touch-screen and your vote flips…

    * Try to capture it with your cell phone camera
    * Call poll supervisors to observe the problem.
    * Fill out a problem report.
    * Refuse to vote on that machine.
    * Request that the machine be taken out of service.
    * Get the serial number of the machine if possible (may be difficult in some cases).
    * Tell other voters in line which machine it was and that they should NOT vote on that machine!
    * Report it to county/town election office.
    * Report it to the Secretary of State.
    * Call local reporters and tell them the story.
    * Call 866-OUR-VOTE and tell them.
    * Contact bloggers and Election Integrity websites.
    * Raise holy hell.

    1. One voter in NJ reported that her affadavit vote seemed unlikely to count at all. I still have serious doubts about NYC votes being accurate or not subject to fraud.

    2. Yeah, I'm not sure how I feel about affidavit voting either, which is why I will be voting in my assigned NYC poll site. I'll tell you how that goes when I get back.

And I hear you regarding the accuracy of NYC votes; I just wanted to point out what Gov. Cuomo's actual emergency order was.
